Andromed carries out independent research in new medicines for the pharmaceutical industry. We are specialized in research in cardiovascular diseases, high bloodpressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and osteoporosis.
Cooperation
Andromed is working closely together with several hospitals, among which are the Acedemic Medical Centre (AMC) in Amsterdam, Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the UMC Utrecht and UMC Radboud Nijmegen.

Thanks to an experienced staff en qualified procedures Andromed is capable of carrying out high-quality research. The high standards Andromed pursues are the same as in academic hospitals. Our employees are familiar with the high requirements which are essential to perform medical research accordingly. They are perfectly capable to accompany our test persons in a fitting way.
Carefulness, openness and excellent accompaniment are important conditions at the trials we carry out. These trials are approved in advance by a recognised medical commission (METC). Furthermore, we work according to the international rules of 'Good Clinical Practive' and the guidelines as stated in the'Declaration of Helsinki'. For you, as a potential participant this means you can only be asked to participate in one of our trials if you are fully informed of the advantages and disadvantages of the trial. You can always withdraw. You are insured against unexpected negative results of the trial medication. Your (medical) data is being confidentially trated as stated in the Dutch 'Law of Privacy'.
Quality
Every trial is carried out by a team consisting of one or more medical doctors, research-assistents and if needed a dietician, sonographist or other specialized staff. For every operation there is a procedure available. All labresults are carried out in specialized laboratories by the European guidelines of 'Good Laboratory Practice'. Andromed is ISO 9001:2008 certified and strongly pursues an independent status.
